Have you been frustrated because of mobile operators not listening to your complaints, not taking action or being unfair to you?

Here is a common sensical solution-

SMS PORT <Mobile no.> to 1900.

This will get you UPC(Unique Porting Code) which is used to port number from one mobile operator to another. It remains valid for 15 days.

After that you will get a barrage of calls from your operator asking why you want to leave them and port your number.

Tell them your problem and that if they don’t fix it within 15 days you will port your number to another mobile operator.

In most cases, they will solve your problem.

Increase your concentration power

• I'll share one small one minute hack which will increase your concentration power.

Take a pen.

Remove the cap.

Place the pen or hold it with your hand about 30 cm away from your eyes.

Stare at the tip of the pen. (Most important step)

Don't think about anything, just look at it.

Initially it'll be difficult (thoughts will come in your head, not able to concentrate properly) but practicing this will improve concentration.

NOTE : Don't stare for too long (approx. One minute), otherwise eyes will start straining.

Practice this exercise before doing any work which requires your full attention.

Increase the battery life of your mobile/Laptop.

        How to increase the battery life of your mobile/Laptop:

                                                         

Majority of the mobile phones and laptops now-a-days have Lithium-ion battery. In order to increase the battery life of your mobile/laptop, just keep in mind the following points:

1. Try to keep the battery level above 40% as much as possible. You may even charge your device twice a day if you use it excessively.
2. Never allow the battery level to fall below 20% (at least not more than once a month).
3. Lithium-ion battery does not need to be fully charged; a partial charge is better. Keeping the battery level between 40% to 80% would optimize its life.
4. Do not expose your battery to high temperatures like direct sunlight, using near the gas burner, leaving it in a hot car etc.

That’s it. Have a long battery life!

Edit: You must have heard that in-order to increase the battery life one should discharge and recharge it completely. This was true for Nickle-Cadmium batteries which were used in older phones (remember those good old Nokia 3310 days). Smartphones no longer use Ni-Cd batteries. Following the methodology of "complete drain and recharge" for Li-ion batteries can be disastrous.

Most important hack People should aware of.

That is something , which is must to know but rarely known by people:-

Learning to use a Fire Extinguisher. This might save your life someday.

Remember the PASS word (Pull - Aim - Squeeze - Sweep)

Pull

·         Pull the pin in the handle. This will also break the tamper seal.

Aim

·         Aim the nozzle (or its hose) at the base of the fire. (Don't touch the plastic discharge hose on CO2 extinguishers, it gets very cold and may damage skin)

Squeeze

·         Squeeze the lever (operating handle) slowly. This discharges the extinguishing agent.

Sweep

·         Sweep from side to side till you completely extinguish the fire. If the fire re-ignites, repeat step 2 to 4.

Yup! That's it. Now you know how to operate a fire extinguisher.

Word of Caution:

·         Don't attempt to extinguish any fire if there is a threat to your safety. If the fire is small and you know how to use a fire extinguisher, you  can attempt to extinguish the fire. Fires can  increase in size and intensity in seconds, blocking the exit path as well as create a hazardous atmosphere.

·         Before attempting to extinguish a fire, activate the fire alarm system.

·         Know what kind of fire you're dealing with. If you use the wrong type of extinguisher, you might make the problem worse. If you're not sure, let the fire department handle it.

·         Make sure the extinguisher is in good condition and periodically inspected.

·         Face the fire in the direction of wind. Aim the extinguisher so the extinguishing agent travels in the direction of the wind, away from the user.

·         Other than the type mentioned above, there are few extinguishers (see image) which can be operated by rotating the knob in the anticlockwise direction (just like opening a water tap).
